Introduction of the Personal Data and Information Privacy Code Bill.

SHRI D. RAVIKUMAR (VILUPPURAM): Sir, I beg to move for leave to introduce a Bill to establish an effective regime to protect, promote and fulfil the fundamental right to privacy of all natural persons and protect personal data concerning them, to set out conditions upon which surveillance of natural persons and interception of communications may be carried out, to constitute a Privacy Commission and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.

HON. CHAIRPERSON: The question is: 

“That leave be granted to introduce a Bill to establish an effective regime to protect, promote and fulfil the fundamental right to privacy of all natural persons and protect personal data concerning them, to set out conditions upon which surveillance of natural persons and interception of communications may be carried out, to constitute a Privacy Commission and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.”
